Circular route using the firebreak that connects La Piazza to Prati Nestrelli.
The ascent is on an asphalt road to Cino. From here, towards the west, you ascend on the carriage road with a cemented and gravel surface, which is forbidden to cars. The average gradient is not difficult. You arrive at the wide Alpe Piazza on the ridge that divides the Costiera dei Cech and the Valle dei Ratti: we are on the border between Valtellina and Valchiavenna.
From the upper part of the meadows, there is an excellent view of the Alto Lario. Just before the Alpe it is possible to reach a hump on which stand the ruins of San Giuliano, from where you can also see Lake Novate at the entrance to Valchiavenna. The route continues uphill on a rough dirt road to the Prati dell'O balcony and downhill to Prati Nestrelli. Back to Cino on a steep cemented road.
